Yes, that's true, there is a massive range with Snape. I love him best when he's dark, but I also really enjoy fics where, say, Hermione's been abducted by a Death Eater and Snape is working against them, looking after her :)

Unfortunately not :( I used to be terrible at collecting recs and I haven't read any in a while (had a major craving for Lucius/Hermione slave!fics recently...), but if I come across any I'll be sure to let you know :)
