“Look what you've done to this room!” Petunia screamed at Sirius who was sat on the sofa laughing his head off.
“Oh, i've brightened it up, love.”
James and Sirius had ran around Petunia's house with their wands, hexing eachother but continually missing and getting lamps, portraits and tables. Most of the furniture was broken and damaged and Petunia was fuming.
“My mum'll kill me!”
“If she has any sense she'll prefer it like this,” he winked at her.
“I knew Lily and her school friends were trouble,” she folded her arms and narrowed her eyes.
“You're just jealous,” Sirius stuck his tongue out at her.
“I'm not a freak!” she spat and ran out of the room, tears in her eyes, Sirius' laugh echoing after her.

Also, I've read your Beautiful The Way You Are on ff.net, I just wanted to say it's really beautiful :) It's a very difficult theme, but you brought it up in a way that made everything make sense. I'm not very good at explaining things, so I guess it's better I stop before I start rambling, hah :)
