Title: Making History
Pairing: Scorpius/Rose

Summary: Scorpius and Rose make history.

“Where are you taking me?” she whined as he dragged her up the spiral staircase.
“Just come on, Rosie!”
“The Astronomy Tower?” she said as they reached the top. “Why have you brought me here?”
He pulled her into the centre. “This is the exact spot where my father held Dumbledore at wand point.”
Rose sighed. “Is that supposed to be a good thing?”
“...well, I, I just thought it'd impress you...” he muttered.
Rose smiled, he was always trying to impress her. “If you want to ask me out, just go ahead and do it.”
“Rosie Weasley,” he stopped for a moment to take a breath. “Will you go out with me?”
She took a moment, keeping him in suspense as her mother always taught her. “Okay then!”
Scorpius was looking at the spot again. “Now two pieces of Malfoy history have been made here.”
“One good, one bad....” Rose thought out loud. “It cancels it out.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“By what?”
“One being bad.”
Rose gave him a quizzical look. “You can't seriously think your father holding the Headmaster at wand point and nearly killing him because of an evil wizard is good!”
“...well, the point is that he didn't kill him...”
“The point is that that history isn't good!” she laughed, playfully punching his arm.
“That depends how you look at things. If you want to see the cup half-empty...”
“It's nothing to do with seeing the cup half empty! It's just plain obvious!”
“To someone with half a brain, maybe...”
“Who are you saying has half a brain?!” Rose folded her arms and turned on him.
“I'm saying I have a full one, if you want to make assumptions about yourself...”
“Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy -!”
“Uh, oh, here we go. Dad told me to look out for the Granger in you.”
Rose raised her eyebrows. “The Granger in me?!”
“Yeah. He said that your mother always took that tone whenever she was angry, and you would too.”
“Well my mother said your father is a smug git!”
“And what's wrong with being smug?”

There's a reason why this pairing is so popular. A Malfoy and a Granger-Weasley (because you just know Hermione hyphenated).
