Summary: James Potter marries Sirius and Petunia as an April Fool's joke.
Author's Notes: Written for benebu at hp_wishes. This fic is set in the time before James and Lily died, and the characters are most certainly not mine.

“You know what? I can't believe I ever married you,” Sirius yelled as he paced up and down Petunia's apartment.

“Well it comes as a surprise to me too,” Petunia remarked haughtily, her arms folded and her eyes narrowed.

“Look, I have the papers here so if you'll just -”

Petunia interrupted him, she had had a brainwave. “I bet it was those magic friends of yours, playing a trick on you. You do realise it's April Fool's Day, don't you?”

“Don't be ridiculous! They wouldn't do something like that...” Sirius thought long and hard about that statement before he realised that they probably would.

“You're friends with James Potter,” Petunia spat out his name, “Of course he would do that!”

“Look, it doesn't matter either way -”

“It matters to me!” Petunia screamed, crinkling her nose as though Sirius was a bad smell.

“As I was saying, before you kindly interrupted me, I have the divorce papers here so if you'll just sign your name we can get out of this mess.”

Petunia halted, she was heavily suspicious of those wizards and their ways.

“Unless of course you'd rather stay married,” Sirius winked at her and grinned.

“Ugh!” Petunia snatched the pen out of his hand and wrote her name quickly.

“Good day,” Sirius smirked as Petunia held the door open for him, promptly slamming it shut as soon as he had left.
