“We've been here hours,” sighed Harry, sitting on a pile of unused boxes.
“Well I can't decide,” Draco was pacing around the pet shop, looking at every single owl available but he couldn't make his mind up.
“You're like a spoilt child. It's only an owl.”
Draco turned around and jumped in front of Harry, arms stretched out. “Aha! That's where you're wrong, Potter!”
Harry rolled his eyes; Draco was off on one again.
“It's not just any owl. It's our owl.”
“I thought you'd stopped that elitist crap when we left school,” Harry stood up and took another look around. “What about this one?” he pointed to a white and brown owl.
“Too plain.”
Harry went to the end of the pet shop where they kept the rest of the animals available. “What about a toad?” he yelled down the shop. “It's Slytherin green!”
“I'll hex you into next week if you don't start taking this seriously! This is our owl we're buying, not some run of the mill animal you'd find on Longbottom.” Draco was peering into the cage of a snowy white one.
“Malfoy, everyone has an owl.”
“Do I have to say it again, Potter? Everyone may have an owl, but they won't have our owl.”
“Right, I give up. We're having this one,” Harry picked up the cage of the nearest owl to him.
“Nah. I never much liked grey.”
