“What's going on?” Lucius walked into the living room stepping on broken shards of glass. “Is that my chandelier?”

Hermione nodded.

“Do you realise how much that cost?!”

“Oh come on, love,” she stroked his arm. “I thought the place could do with a bit of redecorating...”

“Changing the colour scheme is redecorating! Getting rid of expensive chandeliers, light fittings and ALL the furniture in the room is remodelling!”

“Well, a change is a change...may as well go the whole hog...”

“But, but...!” Lucius was utterly flustered. “What are they even doing?” he pointed to the workman removing the fireplace.

“I saw a new one in that catalogue you ordered.”

“Catalogue, what catalogue?”
“You didn't? Oh, must've been me then...”

“You could've asked,” he glared at her.

“I knew you'd say no.”

“You think?!” Lucius picked up the painting that was broken in half in front of him. “This was in my family for generations!”

“It's always good to get rid of the old,” she smiled.

“HERMIONE!”

“Fine, fine, i'm sorry,” she sighed. “But I promise you'll like it. Come on, give me a kiss, please?”

He gave her a stern look. “No, you just demolished my living room!”

“Oh don't be so melodramatic.”

Lucius raised his eyebrows.

“Please give me a kiss?” she whined and he pecked her on the cheek.

“Properly, please,” she battered her eyelashes.

“Fine,” he leant in and kissed her softly on the lips.

“Right, lads,” she said to the builders. “Onto the kitchen!”
