It was a lovely, warm, Spring morning and Hermione was degnoming the gardens of Malfoy Manor. They were quite large, and since she was the only one willing to do it, it was taking her hours.

Lucius came out mid-morning time with a tray full of water and food, which Hermione was grateful for, but she couldn't help but feel annoyed that he hadn't offered to sit with her, talk to her or even offer help.

“Can you please help me?” she said, working on the patch near the shed.

Lucius stood there in thought for a moment. “Hmm.”

She looked up at him with pleading eyes. “Please?”

Reluctantly, he agreed to help, but it wasn't long before the lovely weather turned into April Showers.

“Oh, no, i'm going back inside,” Lucius started to stand up, but Hermione grabbed his leg.

“No you're not,” Hermione tugged on his robes.

“Malfoy's don't get wet!” he said, outraged that he was as wet as he was already.

Hermione laughed, she had never heard anything so silly in her life. “You're a man, take it like a man! It's just the rain.”

Lucius sighed, pulling his leg free and aiming for the nearest dry space – the shed next to the cabbage patch they were at. “It's not just the rain,” he pouted, opening the shed door and slamming I shut behind him.

Hermione laughed and rolled her eyes, following him into the shed. “Fine, now we can both stay dry.”

“Are you kidding?” Lucius raised his eyebrows.

“No, why?”

“There's hardly any space in here as it is! There's brooms and everything -”

She put her hands on her hips. “So you think you're good enough to stay out of the rain, but i'm not?”

“No! That's not what I said.”

“But it's what you meant.” She flapped her arms in annoyance. “Men.”

“Women,” he muttered under his breath.

“Don't you women me. I'll give you women,” Hermione got out her wand.

Realising he'd forgotten his wand after checking his back pocket, Lucius grabbed the nearest thing to him, a broom, and pointed it at Hermione. “Yeah? Well i'll give you men.”

Hermione burst out laughing – the sight of Lucius like that was hilarious.

“What's so funny?” he demanded, dropping the broom which hit his own toe. “Ow!”

“You are,” she giggled.

“You know, there's a lot more we can do in a broom closet than fight,” Lucius said suggestively, edging nearer to her.

Hermione looked out the window. “Oh, look, the rain's stopped!”
